The brn has a side charging handle, both will be heavy due to gas piston (I have a PWS mk111 pro) From having a PWS I can tell you it's accurate and reliable for sure. I'd assume mk1 mod2 stuff is nicer than the brn 180 stuff. Pws makes both. Pws is S7 tool steel bolts, hard use coatings, I’m lost in Somalia reliable.

Probably just phasing out in preparation of Gen 3. The hype train has slowed down quite a bit, but they're still pretty popular uppers, and PWS (the manufacturer of them) is doing fine. They'd be nuts to discontinue them. As for the lowers, I don't know. The company that made the lower was purchased by PSA.
