Cozumel vs cancun

Even with a stop, Cancun is often (but not always) cheaper. I actually almost always get through the Cancun airport immigration and customs much faster than in Cozumel, and the bus ride to Playa del Carmen isn't bad. The ferry from there to the island can be fun. I dislike getting back to Cancun for return flights. Cozumel is all about the water. One thing to watch out for in Cozumel is the port being closed for small boats due to sea conditions and, of course, thats how you get your best snorkel. Xcaret is a great day. I wouldn't be worried about getting tired. Lots of different things to see and do.The Cozumel airport is much smaller.
