New to this group but wanted to share a little advice on SSDI combined with VA disability. They’re 2 different federal benefits and many veterans have paid into FICA taxes and have earned enough credits to be eligible for SSDI. It takes time. Be warned. I didn’t know about it for about 10 years after getting out of the marines.I’ve never spent a penny, except the cost of gas to go to the VSO. I am currently using Veteran Benefit Guides. They give you a chart of the fees that showed how much they charges. If you win, you can pay in full or payment installations.
