In fact, 100 lbs tuna can take about 100 - 150 yards on 22 - 24 lbs tuna, but you need some extra line just in case you hook up a bigger tuna or line get cut while fishing for some reasons. 2. max drag. When I got it it was much bigger than I expected. It was also quite a bit heavier than expected. I wouldn’t have been happy with it so I traded it for a TN 10a. Perfect. Although I never fished it, the reel felt solid. A little tank comes to mind. It was smooth enough. Held a lot of line. I personally think Talica 25II is out of it's league with 400lb class fish in the mix, Talica 50II is probably the next logical choice if you're going with Shimano. This case will hold up to 7 spinning rods and up to 10 conventional rods, you will need to add form padding to both end of the case to prevent bent rod tip. I need some help with this, I have seen tons of knots but nothing that shows me how to join 80lb braid to 80lb mono (top shoot 100-150 yds) I also need to know how to tie the jigs onto the line. I will be using Knife, diamond, and butteryfly jigs.The fish isnt goin to die because it has a treble in its mouth apposed to a single hook. You might have a better hookset with a single hook AT TIMES, but your going to get more chances to set the hook with the treble. You won't go wrong with any of the three rods you mentioned.
